MLM Bouldering Roped Autobelay Bouldering Flooring Roped Flooring Front Desk

Crux’s first location in Austin, TX, boasts nearly 11,000 square feet of climbing space, including windows to climb on, a 1,400-square-foot cave with a fully-climbable 13’ roof, intricate lighting detail, and an adjustable climbing wall called the “Future Wall,” with custom Habit Flooring and specialized wall colors and textures.

This space packs a ton of terrain variety in one area: it’s made up of slab climbing terrain on the sides, and steep climbing with unique, dramatic angles in the bowl. In certain sections, climbers can top-out to the mezzanine lounge area.
This design has an unwavering dedication to the definition of “cave”, and takes that idea 5 steps farther. The result is a 1400 square foot cave like none other, where climbing on the entire ceiling is the reality.
This first-of-its-kind wall is a dynamic bouldering area that can be reconfigured to offer fresh new terrain to ascend. This area serves as the main wall for the competitions that take place at Crux.

The front desk area with the retail shop in the background. The front desk boats some beautiful hardwood logo treatment and sets the tone for climbers entering their facility on what kind of quality product to expect beyond the entrance.
Designed for climbers 12 and under, the Panda-monium Room is a fantastic option for kids’ birthdays and other events. Outfitted with a slide, fireman’s pole and, of course, a climbing wall with auto-belays, this room keeps even the most energetic, inquisitive kids entertained for hours on end.

The rope climbing area is using MLM construction just like their bouldering walls. It features 27 anchors, 21 of which can be set for lead anchors. 18 of these can be set as top-rope or auto-belay anchors. They have 5 - 6 auto-belays set-up at a time.

Crux features some impressive MLM constructed walls that match the branding that the owners incorporated throughout. This is a detail that is incredibly important to Vertical Solutions to execute on.
