CNC Programmer

Manage CNC programming in order to contribute to the design and fabrication of high-end indoor climbing gyms. Prepare organizational documents for production, packing, material tracking and project reporting. Assist with the management of each project working closely with applicable team members. Must have proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D. 

Primary and Essential Functions 

  • Program CNC mills using RhinoCAM;
  • Oversee and troubleshoot program execution and quality control; 
  • Coordinate with Design, Production, and Manufacturing teams to establish the vision and direction of each project; 
  • Meet daily with Design and Production teams to provide updates on progress towards weekly goals; 
  • Nest wall panels on stock material to maximize material use and manufacturing efficiency; 
  • Inspect panels for proper geometrics, layer designations, quantities, and labeling; 
  • Prepare designs and specifications using computer design software Rhino3D, specifically RhinoCAM and Grasshopper; 
  • Generate dimensioned drawings and documentation for shop quality control; 
  • Maintain a high level of organization and clear communication with shop staff; 
  • Use software to communicate with shop, maintain material inventory, and track job progress and performance data; 
  • Work closely with team members to manage each project, ensuring deadlines are met; 
  • Document and create SOPs for CNC and wood production tasks; 
  • Research and propose new technologies and growth opportunities;
  • T-nutting, shipping and miscellaneous shop tasks as needed; 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space;
  • Other tasks as needed.

The Front Climbing Club, Utah’s premier indoor climbing gyms, and Vertical Solutions, a leading national designer, manufacturer and installer of indoor climbing walls and padding, are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to lead the company’s data collection, analytics, and related operational support. We are looking for someone who has the technical know-how and practical business skills to contribute to our innovative, progressive and growing organizations.

This position will be working with executive management to design, develop, integrate, deploy and maintain business critical systems across several platforms. You must have the ability to prioritize and adjust goals and demands as the company evolves and changes. Two years of business analytics experience required, ideally with general programming skills, and experience with FileMaker plug-ins and/or API integrations. FileMaker certification not required but is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address a wide range of programming and technical challenges and collaborate with management to develop operational improvements. Ability to be creative in approach to accomplishing responsibilities and balance craftsmanship with pragmatism and expediency. Excellent time-management skills are essential.

Molding Assistant

This role will operate various machinery and tools to manufacture polyurethane climbing holds and silicone molds. They will also assist with shop operations including mixing, pouring, assembly, operating machinery, receiving, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

  • Create a large variety of holds by repetitively pouring, painting, and molding
  • Sand and drill holds using various power and hand tools
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), general directions, quality-control programs and safety requirements for all production operations
